Child Care Subsidy (CCS) Explained

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS), provided by Centrelink, is a government initiative designed to make childcare more affordable for eligible Australian families. This financial support helps reduce the cost of care, making high-quality early learning more accessible.

The amount of CCS a family receives depends on their combined annual income, the type of childcare service they use, and the number of hours they engage in recognised activities such as work or study.

Payments are made directly to Oak Park Early Learning, which means families are only charged the reduced “gap fee.” This process lowers the out-of-pocket cost for families and helps make early learning more affordable.

Families must meet specific eligibility criteria to access the subsidy.
