About Oak Park Early Learning
Providing Long Daycare and Montessori - Inspired Kindergarten in Oak Park for children aged 6 months to 6 years.
Opening in August 2025, Oak Park Early Learning has been purposefully designed to offer a warm, calm and enriching environment where young children can explore, grow and thrive. Our centre provides high-quality education and care programs that support each child’s individual needs.
We understand how important the early years are, and we’re committed to building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Whether your child is taking their first steps in a nursery setting or preparing for school in our kindergarten program, we offer nurturing spaces, skilled educators and meaningful learning opportunities every step of the way.
Developing a special relationship with each child and their families is very important to us. We recognise each child has different needs, interests and are at various developmental stages. We support these needs by getting to know each individual child and their families. We value both indoor and outdoor spaces equally as places for learning where children can explore, investigate, experiment and participate in shaping the learning environment. We believe in teaching children about caring for the natural environment by providing them with a range of opportunities for rich, hands-on learning experiences about nature and the environment. We also have an in house occupational therapist who’s role is to assist children with any challenges that they may be facing as well as assisting educating teams with strategies to strengthen their practice and program.
We believe that trust and strong relationships form the heart of quality early childhood education. By nurturing open- communication, respecting each child’s individuality, and valuing the role of families, we create a learning environment where everyone feels safe, heard and supported. We understand that children learn best when they feel secure, and that a partnership with families enriches our ability to meet each child’s needs holistically. Strong educator-child relationship, support children’s emotional security, confidence and learning. Partnership with families promotes continuity between home and care environment ways to build strong relationship.
At Oak Park Early Learning, the health, safety, wellbeing and the rights of every child are our highest priorities. We are fully committed to keeping children safe at our centre and have created an environment where children and families feel secure, respected and empowered. We have put into place strong policies and procedures and have a high commitment to child safety.
Yarning Circle
At the heart of Oak Park Early Learning stands a beautiful ‘Yarning Circle’ Artwork by Sherri Cummins, and Aboriginal Artist. This artwork represents a vibrant and meaningful expression of connection, community and belonging.
We chose this piece of artwork to welcome families into our space because it symbolizes the essence of what our centre values, such as open communication, mutual respect and sharing stories across generations and cultures.
Yarning Circles are traditionally used by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to share knowledge, build trustworthy relationships and come together as a community where everyone’s voice is heard, respected and honoured.
By placing this artwork at the front of our centre, we want for every child, family, educators and visitors to feel immediately embraced by the sense of inclusion, warmth and togetherness.
It reflects our deep respect for Aboriginal and Torress Strait Islander cultures and reminds us daily of the importance of building relationships through communication, understanding and the shared journey of learning together.
As families walk through our doors, we hope they feel welcomed, connected and confident that they are entering a community that truly sees and values them.
What We Offer
Programs for children aged 6 months to 6 years
Our centre offers long day care and education for children from infancy to preschool. Each room is designed to meet the developmental needs of specific age groups, supporting physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth.
Experienced educators passionate about early learning
Our team of qualified early childhood educators is dedicated to providing consistent, high-quality care. We believe strong relationships are at the heart of great learning, and we work closely with families to create a true partnership in each child’s journey.
Montessori-inspired curriculum and environments
Our Montessori-influenced approach in kindergarten encourages independence, concentration and a love of learning. Children are able to explore materials and activities, supported by educators who guide rather than instruct. Prepared environments allow children to focus and build confidence.
Occupational Therapist
Fostering our commitment to an all-inclusive environment, we have the support of an Occupational Therapist on site with over nine years experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental delays, behavioural difficulties, sensory concerns and more. Our educators have daily access to the OT to discuss their concerns and be supported in developing strategies for any child attending OPEL.
Fresh and nutritious meals daily
We provide daily meals and snacks that are wholesome, balanced and made with fresh ingredients. We cater to individual dietary requirements and aim to support positive food habits that start in early childhood.
Outdoor play spaces designed for exploration and discovery
Nature and movement are essential parts of our program. Our outdoor environments are intentionally designed to foster creativity, curiosity and physical development — all while connecting children to the outdoors.
